Toe Leading Pendulum

Begin with your arms extended for balance and your support foot facing forward, heel on the ground. Swing your fully extended right leg over your left leg from side to side as high as comfortable. Be certain that your toes lead the motion in both directions. This should be slow, smooth and easy. Repeat the side to side swing for 15-30 seconds and then switch to your left leg.
Variations:
  • Swing your leg in front, then in back of the support leg.
  • Rise up on the toes of your support leg when the moving leg reaches the highest point on either side of the swing.
  • Rise up on the toes of your support leg when the moving leg reaches the highest point on either side of the swing and pause.
